The checkout sheet for equipment is posted outside of 201G. Specify which equipment you will be needing. You cannot email/phone in requests. Please be prompt on return of equipment as others are counting on getting access to it. The schedule for check out of equipment is:
Monday & Friday Checkout is 1:30 – 3:00
Wednesday Checkout is 2:00 – 4:30
Check in is by 11:30am

Microphones:
11 Lavaliere Microphones (Sony ECM-77B)
13 Handheld Microphones (Shure SM-58’s and a few others)
8 Shotgun Microphones – Sennheiser ME-66 and Rode NT-1
The lavaliere microphones are typically worn by the person to be recorded. One common use for them is recording an interview. The handheld microphones are self-explanatory. The shotgun microphones are typically used for situations where a narrow recording coverage is required and/or there is some distance between the microphone and the subject being recorded.

These are USB audio interfaces which have the appropriate inputs for use with our microphones. One possible use of these is to interface to a laptop, turning it into a high quality digital audio recorder when combined with software (such as Audacity).
